Well somehow I managed to completely avoid having a hangover this morning! I didn't have the best nights sleep in the world, but to wake up just tired and no hangover was a bonus.
It's Cecily and Diggors last week at school this week, and over here they apparently don't do any real work/lessons and it's almost half expected that some of the kids don't turn up. Never the less Cecily and Digs were stoked when Fenella told them they wouldn't have to go to school today.
The closing event of the ASP Surfing World Tour is being held at Pipeline at the moment, with the live feed allowing you to watch it live online. I hooked the Laptop up to the TV and just lazed about for half the morning watching the event on the big screen, it was brilliant!
As my 'rent' and Cecily + Diggor's payment for having the day off school, we had to go round and pick up all of Harley's horse poo in the paddock. It wasn't the most fun job in the world, but it had to be done and driving the sit on lawn mower around + trailer was a good laugh.
It's been a pretty overcast day, but having done that job we were pretty hot and sweaty. The only sensible thing to do as a result was jump in the pool! We messed about for a couple of hours and got the waterproof camera out and stuff, then got out when it was lunch time.
Other than sorting out some of my stuff and going through my paper work etc I didn't do anything worth mentioning this arvo. Later on I helped Fenella make dinner which we finished eating about 8pm.
I was really tired and ready to go to bed, when I remember I was meant to be Skyping Ed! In the end we started we chatted for a couple of hours, which was great. I hadn't skyped him since before the road trip, so I really enjoyed having a catch up and hearing about home a bit. I'll miss being at home and seeing all the crew this Christmas though..
After speaking to Ed I tried to ring up STA Travel to change the date of my flights back to the UK from Singapore, as it would be during the working day at home. However I found that that you are no longer able to do it over the phone, which is incredibly annoying. You now have to email them with the request, and wait for them to reply. That's all well and good for them, but no good for anyone who wants to change it quickly and know its done, rather than wait for them to reply!
