I had another crap nights sleep last night. I have never had any problems with sleeping before but for the last couple of weeks I seem to be unable to sleep though the night without waking up a couple of times. It's getting very frustrating as then I'm always tired when I wake up. I think it must be due to my bad shoulder, as I can't sleep with my right arm under the pillow like I'm used to..
When I woke up at about 8am everyone else was still fast asleep, so I messed around updating off exploring and I downloaded 'Instagram', the photo sharing App. I'm not the most artistic person in the world, but I really like the App as it makes you think about taking more photos and you can mess about with their colours etc.
I also checked the surf and it was once again very average, so I wasn't in a great hurry to get to the beach.
Having messed about most of the morning I eventually made some lunch and grabbed my surf kit and headed down to Dicky beach.
It was clear skies and warm down on the beach, but the southerly wind was so strong it was messing the surf up.
I sat on the beach in the sun watching the people in the surf and eating my lunch for about an hour. Then in an effort to find some good surf, I went and checked Moffat Point. Despite being more sheltered the surf was camp so I went back to Dicky's, the most sheltered beach break.
I went out and surfed for about an hour and a half, but the wind got stronger and stronger until it became a complete waste of time and I got out again.
The cloud had also come in so it wasn't even nice to sit on the beach any more
On the way home I dropped in at a fishing shop in Caloundra to get some bits and pieces, as if the surf is going to be this unreliable I would rather have a back up of going fishing after work.
When I got back I helped out Fenella with the gardening by burning off all the dead leaves etc with Diggor, and chopping up a basket of kindling for the fire.
We had a late dinner and then just watched some TV as usual and went to bed.
