Day 35 Fruit Picking -
As usual another day at work. Normally Tuesdays seem to be quite a good day, but this morning seemed to draaaag big time. It was another beautiful day though, and fortunately the afternoon flew by. I also noticed the winds had eventually dropped, so I knew a surf might be on the cards..
When i got home I checked the reports and I was right, although conditions weren't great the wind had dropped a lot, so I went down to my now usual spot, Currimundi, next to the lake.
It was about 2ft with occasionally a 3ft set, and surfing the same bank as before, there were good right handers to be had. Despite there being a lot of water moving and it was quite bumpy, I still had a lot of fun.
Also just as I paddled out another guy turned up and came out to the same spot, which I was quite glad about as I was the only one in the water. He turned out to be a really nice bloke called 'Troy', and we ended up chatting for the whole hour and a half I was out there. He worked for the local council so knew a lot about local beaches etc, and told me about loads of good places on the coast for me to go to when travelling.
Tonight I also really noticed the days getting longer - when I had been surfing after work before I never had more than an hour, but today when I got out as the sun set I actually felt like I had managed a decent surf..
As usual when I got home I just watched TV and had dinner etc. after dinner I was exhausted, so just updated a few days OffExploring, and went to bed.
