Although i was really tired last I woke up at 8am. I spent about an hour catching up on updating OffExploring and reading the breakfast etc, then has some breakfast and a shower.
I went down to the soccer grounds with the family about 11:30am hoping to watch their games, but they had photos etc and ages before their games when that was finished. Instead of hanging around I came back, sorted out all my fishing and surfing kit in the car, had some lunch and went to the coast.
I got to Currimuni expecting strong cross shore wind and not much swell, as the report wasn't too promising, but man was I pleasantly surprised! It was 2ft with occasional 3ft sets, light cross/offshore and perfectly breaking right handers. I was a bit rusty to start with, but surfed for about 2 and a half hours. It was definitely one of my best surfs up here on the Sunny Coast.
I got out when the sun was starting to go down, and as the wind had completely died I decided to fishing at Pelecan Waters. I got there and set up as it was starting to get dark, and soon had 2 Bream in quick succession. On the other rod I had a dead bait, which was getting a lot of attention, but when I struck a run nothing was there, and the bait had been stripped down the it's bones, as if a flipping Piranha had been at it!
I eventually came home about 8:30pm with 2 bream for the freezer. The best time down there is definitely about 4-7pm.
When I came back I just did the normal routine, scaled and gutted the fish, had dinner, a shower, watched some Olympics and went to bed.
