Day 16 Fruit Picking -
Today was just another day at work, nothing eventful happened. It was like April showers on and off all day, broken up by sunshine.
A lot of the fruit has been trashed by the rain so it's hard work to get it all of the plants. Despite that the season is definitely speeding up and, if the weather could just improve, it will be crazy busy in a few weeks.
I finished at 3pm as usual and came home to get changed. I then took my surfboard off up to the shaper who is going to repair it.
He seems like a really nice guy - an older chap about 60ish who's speciality is mainly Windsurfing Boards, but does lots of surfboard repairs etc. To fix 3 areas of damage he thinks will be about $90, which is really good considering a mainstream shop would be that much for just the major repair..
Hopefully I will be able to pick the board up on Monday.
When I got home again I put all the photos from the weekend's day trip to Noosa on DropBox and made a start on trying to get a tax rebate. However it turns out its a bloody nightmare and is going to take ages, all for $84.
I went to bed pretty early as I was pissed off with the whole tax thing, couldn't be bothered with TV and was tired..again. I don't seem to be able to sleep properly at the moment, which is very rare for me..
