I was so glad to wake up and realise it was the weekend this morning! I got up about 9am and faffed about having breakfast etc. I checked the surf reports and there is no surf around, and I couldnt be bothered to go fishing first thing. Instead I went up to the newsagent in Landsborough, bought a couple of surfing magazines, and laid in the sun until 1pm. It was so nice outside, not a cloud on the sky, bright sunshine, but not unbearably hot.
The family got back from various soccer games about 1pm, both of which had won so were pretty happy, so we all has lunch.
After lunch Mark and Fenella took the dogs to walk along Currimundi beach, and dropped off Cecily and 2 friends at another beach. I took Diggor down to Pelecan Waters to go fishing.
Unfortunately the tide was exceptionally low and the water was crystal clear, so the fish weren't interested. Also the pontoon I normally fish from was too busy, so we has to fish from the beach further down.
Later on the tide started coming in putting some colour in the water, and all the people left the pontoon, so we went a fished up there instead. We ended up staying until about 6pm, Diggor caught 3 (one big enough from the freezer) and I caught 2 smaller ones. Having gutted the fish we came home for dinner.
It turned out Rich and Maddie were here for a BBQ and some beers as Kelly is away, and we all had a really good evening sat round talking and then watching the All Blacks against the Aussies at rugby on TV.
By about 10pm everyone was kankered Maddie and Rich left, and everyone went to bed.
