Day 58 Fruit Picking -
Today was just another day as far as work was concerned. I was back out in the patch picking again though which was a very welcome break from the shed! Although having said that, the day did seem to go pretty slowly after about lunch time..
I knew I was going off to pick up my car after work, so I was just ready to go and do that, instead of picking strawberries.
As planned I came home and had a quick shower, then Mark took me down to Caloundra to pick up my car. They had really tidied it up well, the only thing that lets it down is the peeling paint, but as they said themselves - that is the reason it can only be sold for cheap!
I signed the all paper work required and paid up without hitch, and the car is legally mine! I am so glad I have bought it from as a reliable source as possible. Russell is really nice genuine bloke, and all his employees I have come across were just the same. It really summed them up when I was told they actually changed the radiator and a couple of other bits and pieces, not because it had to be done, but because they wanted to be sure it would work for my whole trip..and they had filled it to the brim with fuel for me too..
It drove very well all the way home, and despite it being very early days I am really pleased with it. Now it's parked on the drive, the travellers modifications can begin!
Later I checked how much instance etc was, which I can't buy till tomorrow due to limits on expenditure on my bank account, so hopefully I will be driving it around by the weekend.
After dinner as usual I just bummed around, and actually needed up going to bed about 9:30pm exhausted.
