Day 23 fruit picking -
I went to work as usual for 7am. For the 2nd day in a row we only had enough strawberries on the plants to work until lunch time'ish. We finished picking about 1pm and all the pickers went home on a half day.
Instead of just going home, I started helping pack the different packs of fruit into the cardboard boxes whilst Greg was on the phone. In the end I was actually trained how to do all the end packing properly, and worked until 2pm when all the fruit was packed.
Although I wouldn't like to spend too much time in the packing shed cooped up indoors, it was good to learn how to do that pacing and have another use at work to add a couple more hours in..
I got home at about 2:30pm, had some cereal as usual and then dug up heaps of worms to use as fishing bait. I went back down to Ewen Maddock Dam, like yesterday, with Diggor and fished until dark. We were much more successful today than when I went yesterday; I caught 2 catfish and Diggor caught an unidentified fish of some kind.
We brought the catfish home hoping to be able to eat them, but Mark said they were too small. Instead of wasting them, we put them in the Dam in the paddock to let them grow.
Once I had a shower etc I didn't do anything interesting in the evening - had dinner, went on the Internet and watched a little TV.
I am going Sea Fishing with Mark (the dad of the family we went to Canarvon Gorge with) tomorrow at 5:30am as I have the day off work. Im really looking forward to it, do hopefully it will live up to expectations!
