Yesterday we all got up and had breakfast etc about 8am, as we were heading up to Noosa for a day trip.
We left home about 9:30-10am, and then stopped at a big outdoors shop on the edge of Noosa about 10:30-11am.
Here I bought a pair of walking boots/trainers for a bargain $50, as I needed some hard wearing shoes for work on the farm, and for when we go on holiday next week there will be lots of trecks in the bush.
We eventually arrived in Noosa and drove up to the 1st headland (right of the town beach as you look out to sea) where we left the car and went for a walk to spot Kowalas. We spotted the furry animals in the trees very quickly so went further around the headland to check the first couple of surf spots.
Noosa is such a beauftiful place - dense trees go down onto rocky headlands, which meet the terquoise water at reef point breaks. There were packs of people in each surf spot, but the surf was only about 1ft max, but glassy as you like.
After taking lots of photos etc we walked back to the car. I bumped into Garry, one of the Spot X Instructors, in the car park which was cool as we could have a quick chat and exchange numbers. It's nice really nice to unexpectedly bump into people you have met on your travels.
We then drove up to the other end of Noosa town beach, to where a creek flows out into the sea. Again it's very beautiful to look around and enormous bay to the other headland out in the distance, at the end of a 40km long bright yellow sandy beach.
Again after taking more photos we parked the car up and walked into Noosa to find somewhere for lunch. The Surf Club was full, so we went to a resteraunt next to the road of one of the side streets. The food was very nice, and it was lovely sitting outside to eat, reminding me of our family holidays abroad.
We then went down to the main town beach for the afternoon. I played football on the beach with Diggor, Cesily and Mark whilst Fenella watched from the comfort of her towel!
We also threw a rugby ball around in the sea, and Diggor and I went bodyboarding in the small surf. After we sunbathed to dry off.
When the sun started to go down and the temperature began to drop, we left the beach and got an Icecream on the way to the car.
When we got home we were all so tired from the day out we just chilled out watching TV and laying on the Sofa. We made our own tea, and I made my sandwiches for my first day at work the next day..
(All the Noosa photos are on my camera, so this is the a photo of - saved from Facebook. Me and the boys in Byron, post night house walk - 'The Pass' surf break in the background below).
