Off Exploring was launched in 2003 by Andrew Ace for his own Australian gap year. Before social media, it was a way of keeping in touch with home that wasn't possible otherwise.
Today, with social media everywhere, the major benefit of a travel blog is having a proper record of a trip to look back on.
Over the years our travellers have uploaded millions of blogs & photos. We're determined to keep these precious memories safe online for years to come.
Unfortunately a big database means high running costs. We tried advertising but people hate ads. So we're asking you, our wonderful users, to make a small contribution towards the costs, and help us pay to keep your blogs available long into the future.
- How much is all this worth to you?
- Homepage for your trip
- Map of your planned route
- Blog entries from all your destinations
- Unlimited photo albums
- Unlimited videos
- Message board & comments
- Ability to turn your blog into a book
- And most importantly…
- A permanent record of your trip
A contribution to Off Exploring's running costs will help us to keep the site online, and free of advertising.
To keep your precious memories safe we need to pay the bills!
If you value this website, please consider contributing. Thank you!
