Day 37 Fruit Picking -
As usual I was at work by 7am. It was a good job we left the fruit to ripen yesterday arvo, there was loads on there this morning! Today was also the hottest day I have had at work yet I think - by 8am I was just in shorts and a t-shirt and by 10am I couldn't stop thinking about laying on the beach, not picking strawberries!
Everyone seemed to be in high spirits today too, even the grumpy one, so the day flew by. I'm not sure if that was down to the weather, but if so tomorrow is meant to be about 28 degrees so it may make the Queenslanders even more chirpy!
As usual i got home about 3:30pm, but was pretty tired from working in the 'heat'. I just had a shower and chilled out, helping make dinner and on the computer/watching TV. I also heard from loads of people from home out of the blue, including Becca from Renishaw! She posted a photo on my Facebook of her, Dimmery and Baz pissing around as usual saying they missed me...this time last year I was doing a 9-5 desk job...how things change! I must admit though I do miss those guys, hopefully I will get them all together to see them again when im home!
I have been thinking up a bunch of ideas for when I'm home next year, to do in the summer before uni. Not that I don't value my time now, but because your mind just runs a bit wild knowing I will be home by March (probably) and what I can do with the end of my Gap Years. I'd already had ideas of doing some sort of European road trip, when I started talking to Danny this evening.. He then mentioned he hopes to do a France/Spain/Portugal surf road trip next uni summer (just throwing ideas around), so that's got me playing with ideas anyway.
For the moment I have more than enough exciting/interesting things to look forward to, not least how I am going to go about doing the east coast of Aus!
