Day 32 Fruit Picking -
Today was just another day at work really, although I think it must have been the warmest yet. Even when I got to work at 7am it wasn't too cold, and I was in t-shirt and shorts by 8:30am.
I had a good chat with Geff (one of the older guys) whilst out in the patch, about getting a 'Station Wagon' (or estate as I know them as at home) for travelling. He suggested placing an advertisement in the local paper saying I am looking to BUY one, rather than the normal way of selling something. He says he picked up a station wagon at home that way quickly, and they are often cheaper than using Gum Tree or a 2nd car garage.
He also suggested I get 3rd party insurance for it, that way it's not ridiculously expensive (apparently), but I wouldn't have to pay out for someone else's car out of my own pocket should the worst happen.
The only other eventful thing that happened was that Bob was almost blown away by a 'wirly wind' (like a mini tornado), which was truly hilarious. It came down the patch from behind us and whipped leaves etc around and moved the trays on our trollies, then made a B line for Bob about 20m in front of us. Despite us shouting to him he didn't see it coming, it hit his trolly dead on, blowing all his trays in the air, hitting him in the head and he almost rolled his trolly over.
When I got home about 3pm I was thinking of going fishing as it was such a nice day, but I had to go and send off my tax for, and by the time I was home it was a bit late and I couldn't be bothered to drive to Caloundra.
Instead I helped Fenella out in the garden, driving the ride on mower around etc.
In the evening we had dinner and watches some of the Olympics as normal. I also added some more photos onto DropBox, as I hadn't updated it for ages.
