Day 24 fruit picking -
So I was back on the farm again today. I started at 7am as usual, and it was freeeezing! The radio said it was only 7 degrees.
The morning went very quickly, and as soon as the sun came up it warned up rapidly. After lunch it felt very hot in the sun, making picking hard work.
I got home about 3:30pm as usual, and just enjoyed the sun in the garden as there was no surf again. I jumped in and out the pool, but that really is freezing as its the coldest time of year.
Once the sun had gone down I had a shower to warm up, then just sat on the sofa with Digs under our duvet's watching the Olympics highlights on TV.
That's all we did all evening really - eat dinner and watch the Olympics. It's great to see though. It made me feel quite proud to see it all being pulled off well in my home country, when I was as sceptical as the rest about whether we would be cape able..
