How happy was I to wake up and it to be Saturday morning?! However I was hoping for a lay in, as I'm exhausted again...and I woke up about 6am, 6:30m and when I woke up for the third time at 7:30am I gave up on sleeping.
As usual I messed about a bit this morning, then got my butt in gear and went out. Once again it is flat as a mill pond so I can't go surfing. Instead I went to Jen's (the woman from work I went fishing with) garage sale, as they are moving house, to look at fishing rods.. When I leave Mark&Fenella's I won't have one, so I thought I would get one for my travels. I ended up getting a bargain - a 12ft beach caster rod + reel worth about $250 in near enough brand new condition, for $120.
I then went off to the big outdoors/fishing shop in Caloundra to get some bits and pieces. I'm thinking of getting a spear gun, but having just spent $120 I thought it would be a bit much for this weekend.
I went down to Carrimundi lake afterwards to go fishing with the new rod, which is really good. Unfortunately though there wasn't much doing due to it being very windy, so I found a shelters spot and laid in the sun for a few hours.
Later I went to Pelecan Waters to do some fishing for a couple of Bream, but there the water was Gin clear and no one was catching either. I went home about 5pm, as we had Mark and Angela and the boys (the family from Canarvon Gorge) round for dinner.
We had a nice evening playing with the new table football Mark got from Aldi today (for $70?!?) and had curry for dinner. I also discovered we are going sea fishing Mark tomorrow, so im stoked for that!
I went to bed completely knakered about 10pm, ready to get up at 5am for fishing tomorrow..
