Day 39 Fruit Picking -
I got up for work again as usual and started just before 7am. It was bloody cold again last night, dropping down to about 3 degrees. It's now full daylight by about 6:30am though, so it warms up quickly at work.
The whole day seemed to go very, very quickly. Having done nothing energetic all weekend, despite being tired when I woke up, I had lots of energy at work, and wasnt even bothered about sitting down at the end of the day. That was pretty fortunate as this week is going to be the busiest since I started I think, as a lot of fruit has/is ripening up.
When I got home I just bummed about as there isn't any surf, and won't be all week. Later I tired to do my student finance, but got stuck signing in so had to give up on that for today.
Instead I started looking into the road trip idea, just about how far/what petrol would cost once I have a car etc. The route I looked at was about 3500km long, from the furthest north in Queensland you can surf, down to west of Melbourne on the great ocean road. Having done some rough sums (based on the efficieny of a station wagon I found) it would be about $400 in petrol. It was cheaper than I thought, but would mean I need to sell any car I got on Melboune area and fly but to Brisbane..
