Day 55 Fruit Picking -
Back to work again today, and god was it difficult getting up early this morning. It's amazing how much difference getting up early for that extra morning on and Saturday and working makes a difference. How builders/tradies can work 6/7 day weeks all the time I have no idea!
It was a much cooler day at work today, at only 24 degrees, but the humidity was high so it was quite sweaty. Once again there is more fruit on again this week than we have had before this season, do we are all flat out. I even had to spend about an hour and a half lining more trays in the shed, as all the normal ones in circulation were in the cold room full of fruit.
I finished work at 3:30pm, rushed home, got changed and jumped back in the car and drove down to Caloundra to go and sort my Queensland drivers licence...I got to the building at 4:32pm, and it had closed at 4:30pm...WHAT A PISS TAKE!
Instead of just driving straight home I made the dangerous decision to go and check out the surf shop at Dicky Beach, as on the radio they were advertising a sale on boards. There were couple of reaaaally nice ones which would suit me perfectly, with Atleast $200 off their usual price. I spoke to the guy in there and he recons I should be able to sell my current board via the shop pretty quickly, and get a reasonable amount for it (judging by the shaper/model etc), and be able to put that towards a new board. In total I worked out I could potentially get a brand new board for about an extra $200!
I will go back tomorrow when I go to Caloundra to try and sort my licence and sort out selling my current board there.
Other than that nothing interesting happened this evening, just the usual having dinner and monging out watching TV.
