Today was another uninteresting day for a blog entry.
As planned I got up about 5am sorted out all the animals, then drove down to Currimundi Lake for the dawny. Unfortunately the surf was even smaller than the 1-2ft I expected, and was only 1ft max the whole time I was in. It's always nice to get out in the ocean, but the surf was pretty dull. I just took the leg rope off my board and messed about really.
I got back gone home about 9ish, and had all good intentions to go off and climb one of the Glasshouse Mountains, which I have been wanting to do for ages. However by the time I had eaten something and sorted my stuff out, it was getting really hot outside. I left it a while to see what would happen with the temperature, and sure enough by lunch time it was 34 degrees in the shade, according to the thermometer on the veranda.
Instead I spent most of the day alternating between laying in then sun and swimming in the pool. I also spent over an hour maintaining my dreads, again! My hair had grown out enough to need to be knotted down by my head again, like when they were first done. They look a lot neater again now having done it though, so time well spent as I had nothing more pressing to do.
Most exciting moment of this arvo was finding a really massive spider. I was taking some washing off the line, and saw something move in the corner of my eye on the roof of the veranda. Admittedly I really made me jump, as this thing was as big as my open palm+fingers, it was huge. I have no idea if it's poisonous or not, but I'm hoping it just doesn't move for the rest of the time I'm here, and I dont find out.
I was meant to be Skyping home tonight, but the Internet has just completely stopped working for some reason, so it doesn't look like lm going to be able to..
