Day 28: 30/9/12
I lazed I bed as long as I could this morning but with birds and bats outside I wasn't really sleeping! Spent the whole day deciding what to bring to Tasmania, washing and ironing clothes! Not very exciting! I know the names of places the tour is going to but I don't know an awful lot about each place! I think te weather will be okay must of the time but can be very cold so I had to put in the jumpers and jacket and wooly hat just incase! I know we are going to a show one of the nights so I had to bring a few kind of dressy outfits! So I ended up having nearly as much stuff as I had for nine weeks! I just won't be washing any of this stuff during the tour!
Mike and Sean came to collect me then and they found the keys to the gate so we could get out! They were up in a top shelf in a press that I couldnt reach! No wonder I couldn't find them! On the way back to their house Shell rang and herself and Mike had a whole conversation about the farm- all over my head!
Later in the evening we went into town to watch the hurling. We went to O'Malleys, where we saw the last match. At the door there were bouncers and a woman taking money. An Irish lad that worked there called us over to 'explain the situation!' Before they ever knew there was going to be a replay they had booked in a Columbian party (what that entails I have no idea). You had to pay to get into the party. But they were showing the match in one part of the pub so he was letting the Irish people in for free. By the time we got in though it was jammed and we probably wouldn't have seen anything so we went to a different pub- the pig and whistle. There were lots of people there but it's a huge place so we got seats with a good view of the telly, surrounded by other Galway jerseys! Unfortunately there wasn't too mud excitement for us, apart from the three goals. Nothing went their way at all and we seemed to have no forwards! For about the last 15minutes there was a Kilkenny lad near us screaming and roaring (not your normal cheering) every time they scored- which was a lot! He was lucky somebody didn't tear into him! After the match I went to the bathroom and there was a girl in one of the cubicles screaming down the phone about the cats! She was very excited and had to talk to her Daddy after the match! It's nice to see that they still get excited about winning, even though I think they've won enough!
