Day 26: 28/9/12
This morning I had to get the last booster to be vaccinated against everything for 10 years! I had booke that last week over near Mikes house so I had to get a bus into the city and another one out the other side! Took a while as the doctor had to chat to me about where I was travelling and stuff like that but got the injection anyway- one more thing out of the way!
Petrina had texted yesterday to say she would be in Brisbane today if I was around to meet up. So I went in to Southbank to meet her and her boyfriend. We had a few drinks and good Craic catching up! She's in Melbourne teaching and was telling me about life down there as well as her wedding plans and how everyone was at home. The boyfriend is from Donegal so we had a good chat about football! Melbourne is the sports capital of Oz and maybe the world so they really made me want to go there!! I'll be visiting at some stage!!
I didn't know what bus to get back to Shane's house as the one I got in didn't seem to be on the timetable for the evening. So I got the bus to Mikes house instead and Shane said he'd collect me there because he had to get a pair of trousers off Mike anyway. He was talking about these trousers for about two weeks and had Mike wash them especially for him. I knew he wa training at 7 but he said he'd definitely be over after. So I was sitting with the lads when I get a call from him to tell me he was going to a party for a while and it would be late when he'd call. That was grand. I told the lads they could go to bed anyway and I'd let myself out with the trousers. But myself n Mike ended up staying up watching a film. When it was nearly over I get a text from Shane saying he'd be at the party for a while yet and he hadn't the bag packed yet so he wouldn't be able to collect me and he'd have to buy a pair of trousers. You wouldn't want to be waiting round for him!! Luckily I had gotten the key off him in the morning as all my stuff was in his house!! Anyway, I had another night in Roisins room!
