Day 18: 20/9/12
I wasn't even up this morning when I got a call at 6:30am from the agency to go and work in the same school as yesterday. It was grand that I knew where to go!
They were having rewards day- a fun day for being well-behaved during the year. There was a room of about 10 people who weren't getting rewards day because they had gotten level 4,5 or 6 in the behaviour chart! Those levels aren't good!
It was the biggest waste of money having me there! The kids were put into three groups and rotated between board games/movie/art, the pool for swimming games and the oval for or games. There were lots of adults and teachers to help out. I was in the board games section with the people doing art- I spent the day twisting wool around to 'paddle-pop' sticks to make a diamond/cross shape. It was a very soft day!!
I was told I'd have the girls for the last hour and to do whatever I wanted, but we were no sooner back in class and the music teacher rang to say the kids were supposed to be with her! By the time they came back there was about 20 minutes left do we played a game. I can't complain about that days work!
The teacher that's out doesn't be in anyway on Fridays according to the kids- they have some other teacher who is in- so there won't be any work there tomorrow!
Mike collected me in the shopping centre again. After a while, Shane called over. We had the tea and then skyped his house. We had a crowd of people to talk to- Alva, Padraig, Dymphna, Sean, Tom, Eileen Molloy, Lisa Kelly.... the whole parish was there!! All in great form but no major news from either side! Shane gave then a tour of Mikes house- hence the photo!! Alvas still recovering from Spain- if must have been some good night out!!
