Day 2 Oz: 4/9/12
Woke at 4am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep. This time difference has me all over the shop. I was wrecked but still couldn't sleep!
Went to the city today. Bus stop is about a 10 min walk from here and just took less than 20 mins to get to the centre. The city seems lovely. Everything seems brand new and so clean! I just walked around Queen Street really and did some shopping. I needed a few bits and pieces. I set up a bank account and got a sim card. Mike gave me an old phone he had. So I'm getting sorted over here!! I got awful tired after a few hours so went back on the bus again.
I'd only sat down for about twenty minutes watching Countdown, (which is called 'letters and numbers' over here! Quite an original name!) when Shane rang to say her be here in a few minutes. So we sat back and had tea and chatted. We looked at lots of photos too- particularly Iguassu and the glacier. Mike came home in the middle of all that and cooked a steak dinner for us! We are definitely well spoiled.
We had more tea then and watched X factor (the Australian one). It's weird that the big programs over here are the same ones we have at home.
We were all wrecked this evening so heading to bed nice and early. Poor Mike had to head back in to work.
Hopefully I will sleep tonight now!
