Day 85: 26/11/12
I was back in the same school as last week. There's some report writing going in or something and two teachers ate taking 2 1/2 days each to do it, so that's why I get the week. I was told to go to prep this morning and before school started there was a change of plan. I was with year 5/6/7 for about an hour and then back to prep.
The year 5/6/7 were doing maths. All the classes come together for it. One teacher was taking kids in groups to focus on some specific Maths topic. I just had to supervise the rest who were all supposed to be working on Maths. Some were doing multiplication, some angles, some graphs, some equations... They were all on different things. They seemed to know what to do though and most of them worked on ahead.
After that I wa back down in prep. There are two prep classes in a big open area. The classes are either end with desks, chairs, library, toys, etc in the middle. The teacher had left some work so I just continued with it. We were reading a story and talking about which parts they liked.
After break time they had silent reading, which meant they flicked through the pictures!! Then the two classe came together to do science. The other teacher knew what was going on there so I just had to help out! They had some play time after that.
I was on duty second break and lots of the class from last week came up to say hello, even some that I gave out to a lot!!
After that break they had rest time- they literally lied on the floor. Then the classes came together again to practice the songs they are performing at the end of year 'best of' show. The class teacher came back aswell and it was her birthday over the weekend so the parents brought in some cupcakes for the kids.
The kids were good enough. Very little concentration and some lively boys but nothing major! One of the little boys announced that I was beautiful when I was saying hello to them, which is a lot nicer than being called a b****!
It was a soft day for me!! Tomorrow I think I'm in year 5/6 but you'd never know what they'd decide!!
I didn't do anything really this evening. I had great intentions to start labelling all the photos I have but I just got lazy and watched tv instead!
