Day 1 Oz: 3/9/12
Didn't sleep much last night. Think I got about an hour! I woke early enough and got up and had tea with Mike before he went off to work.
I skyped home for a few minutes. Then I went back to bed for a while, but still didn't sleep! My body is obviously in South American time which meant it was day time!
Eventually I gave up trying to sleep and just got up! I had a shower, had breakfast, checked up Facebook and emails and stuff. Then I uploaded my photos on Mikes laptop so that I'd have them saved somewhere other than the camera, just incase!! Now I need to get a memory stick or disc or something that's big enough to hold them all!!
The electricity went during the day and I was wondering if I had done something out of the way! Then I spotted a worker up on the electricity pole so I figured they were up to something! It was back in about half an hour anyway.
I started to pick out the best photos for Facebook but still ended up with loads just for Peru! Will have to do the other countries another day!
Mike came home early. He was here about 4, so the day went fairly quickly. Shane arrived soon after that. We had a good catch-up! I had lots of videos on my phone to show him and we looked at the Peru pictures. Will need another few evenings to look at all the photos.
Mile and Shane took me then to see the nearest bus stop and the supermarket. It took us a while to get going cos Shanes car needed oil first. Then it wouldnt start so he had to jumpstart it with Mike's! Things werent going too well for him today! He must have left the lights on! The places aren't far so I'll be able to go exploring tomorrow.
The lads had training then so I started uploading some photos and watched some xfactor. Mikes housemate was home and cooked dinner so I was well spoiled!!
Watched a bit of tv then and sat and had tea and a chat when Mike came home from training. Delighted to be able to have cups of real tea!!
Had a very peaceful relaxing day in Oz today- I started as I mean to continue!!!
