Day 7: 9/9/12
Up bright and early again this morning! Mike was going to half nine Mass so I went along with him. Unfortunately we ended up in the middle of the communion and confirmation ceremony!! Two right prizes in the middle of if! There were only eight kids and there was no major to-do about it, but it made the mass very long! I was on the verge of laughing all throughout the Mass cos it was just like Tommy Tiernans Oz priest. At the gospel he started saying how Jesus was walking down the road to Galilee and I thought if he meets Zebedee down here Ill never be able to keep it together!! Luckily there was no sign of Zebedee!!
The lads had the match then in the afternoon so went out to that. Na Fianna (their team) v Cuchulainn. Cuchulainn got off to a great start and went nine points up at one stage. Na Fianna got into it near half time. Shane set up a goal and it was looking promising at half time. They were much better in the second half and went three points up. Cuchulainn had all the support though and were all hyped up. A massive brawl started mid way through the second half and Cuchulainns had a lad sent off though. For some reason it just spurred them on and na Fianna couldn't get back into it. So it didn't go well.
Went home for a while then and got ready to go out. Went to O Malleys in the city centre. Everyone from the hurling teams was there so plenty of Irish people. There was good craic. Everyone in great form for the match aswell. The whole pub (apart from the few cats) was supporting Galway. Tense match!! They probably could have won but they could have easily been bet too so glad to have another day! I'd say it was class to be in Croke park!!
