Day 55: 27/10/12
I had been waiting on the people in the room I viewed to decide if I could move in or not and finally this morning I got the text. The fella in the house just hadn't bothered answering I don't think!
I went to Carindale shopping centre with Shane and some other lads in the morning. I went off and got an Internet wifi thing while they were buying t-shirts. It should be the other way around!
I packed up my stuff then but the girl in the house wasn't going to be back until 5. So we dossed for the day, lounging by the pool. Shane had a few of the lads coming over and it was all timed okay that he would bring me in first. Then the girl text to say she wouldn't be there til 6 so we had to wait around! The lads had already come when we had to go- bad timing!
It was lashing rain this evening while Shane was bringing me in- as he said the Aussies don't know how to drive in the rain! We got to the house easily enough anyway and got the stuff in handily. I like the room- its big with lots of furniture and the view is class- ie the picture above! The girl seems lovely too- she was washing sheets and everything for me. I spent an hour or so finally getting my stuff out of boxes and bags! Then got the Internet working and skyped home! The wifi thing is cool because when I turn it on it covers the laptop and the phone! I have a month free with it, well have to see after that how dear it is!
By the time Id all the talkin done it was time for bed. One problem with the room is that there's no screen on the windows so if they're open all sorts of creatures can come in. If they're closed it could be very stuffy! Well have to come up with some sort of compromise! I found the skeleton of a lizard on the window so they are staying closed tonight anyway!
