Day 120: 31/12/12
New Years Eve! It's hard to believe another year has ended!!
I spent most of the day trying to wash clothes and pack for New Zealand. That meant pulling everything out to see what I needed and creating a bigger mess than I already had!!
I met Mike and Siobhan for dinner on a pub down in Southbank around 7 and then we had a few drinks. A friend of Siobhans and his girlfriend joined us later.
At separate stages I quizzed both of them about their intentions but I didn't get very far!
There were fireworks at around half eight, but not many. That was for the families. We went outside just before the countdown and saw all the fireworks for midnight! It was really good! It wasn't as long as the last display in September but it was still good.
We went back to the pub for a little them. Some random Aussie came talking to us and asked me if Zmike was my son and Siobhan my daughter. I asked him what age I looked and he said 46. I wasn't impressed to say the least!
After a while ignoring him, Mike and Siobhan walked me home and then they rang a taxi from my house!
Happy new year to everyone anyway!
2012 has been a very different year, lets hope 2013 brings lots of excitement!

So 2012 was a big year for me- taking a career break and heading off round the world mostly on my own. It was a big change but I'm delighted with all the places I've seen and I can't wait to see some more in 2013!
