Day 82: 23/11/12
Back to my heroes again in 1/2Q. The guy that was out yesterday was back in today and set them all mad in the morning. I was telling them a story and had music on the laptop to go with it. It was hard to hear as the class next door were really noisy. So he just started messing, pretending his chair was a car and driving it around the classroom. The girl that was misbehaving on Wednesday then started acting up aswell! I had the principal speaking to both of them by first break!! They settled afterwards but still wouldn't really do any work. I eventually ended up ignoring them as long as they weren't interfering with anyone else. The girl lay in the corridor reading a book (which people from other classes seem to do too!) and the boy was playing on the computer. It's awful that some of the good kids would love to have been on the computer but they were doing what they were told and doing their work! We did group work again as it seemed to work yesterday, but this time with Maths. Later we did silent reading (which is nice to drag out!!!) and played a game.
The lady from the office came to see me during the day to ask if I would do next week aswell. I was nodding my head slowly thinking 'oh crap' when she said it wasn't that class! So I straight away said yes! Then she said it was prep! Oh God!! I'll have prep Monday and then year 5/6 on Tuesday and Wednesday. I think half of each on Thursday and prep again on Friday! Maybe it was good that I said I'd take the contract after all! I don't know if next week is contract work or relief work or how it works!! Ill just take any days I can get!
No other news really. Watched tv and read. Noone in the house all evening so very quiet.
