Day 114: 25/12/12
Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!!
I was up later than I would have been at home as I had gone to Mass yesterday. I had Christmas presents from Mam and Dad to open. I got earrings, perfume, books, puzzles and Michael McIntyre!
Shane collected me after he went to Mass. We skyped home then and saw everyone in full flight for Christmas Eve celebrations! Ye all looked to be having a great time!
We went to Shane's house then. There were 10 of us for the dinner- Shane, the three lads he lives with- Danny, Roche and Hedge, Hedge's brother Paul and his wife Louise, Roches cousin and her boyfriend and a lad from Cork, friend of theirs.
The dinner was massive- vol au vents, soup, brown bread and smoked salmon, and then the full turkey and ham dinner with two types of stuffing! Louise had cooked it all- fair play to her!
We sat around for a while then and watched Dunbelievables and a few other things on YouTube.
Then the lads went into the pool - jumping into it, playing rugby in it, the usual carry on! It's quite entertaining!
The beer was flying all day so needless to say I was full of talk by the end of the day. I don't know what time I went to bed but it wasn't that late anyway.
It was a grand day. It doesn't feel too much like I'm missing out on anything as it doesn't feel like Christmas at all. I will definitely looking forward to a proper Christmas next year though!
