Day 89: 30/11/12
When I was walking to the bus this morning a car shouted at me (or rather a person in a car!). It was one of the teachers from the school abc she gave me a lift. She seems but I rarely see her at school. She did well to spot me! She was only transferred to the school this year and doesn't like if as much as her old school although she said she's way more relaxed here as there was a lot if tension in her last school and she was really frustrated about the way things were being done. Here she just goes to work and forgets about it afterwards- no stress. Thought that was interesting!!!
I had year 3/4 today. They were grand. We'd assembly in the morning and then library time. Lots of prizes given out in assembly for active travel and skills like perseverance and absorption!
The teacher was there today so she had work left and I spoke a bit about Ireland too. There's an Irish girl in the class. Her Dads from Kerry and they moved out about four years ago. I actually met the mother, who's Australian, the other morning. She was all chat. They leaved in Ireland for years.
In the afternoon we joined with the other 3/4 class and they played dodgeball. The other teacher is a New Zealand Maori lady with loads of tattoos and dreadlocks. She looks really strict! She's nice though- she's probably been the friendliest out of all the teachers. She's in relief too so that probably explains it! She's covering the same class for the last seven weeks though.
I got asked to do Friday next week also so now I know I have two days next week anyway. Three more would be great, but even one would do!
After school I went to the cinema and the saw The Perks of being a Wallflower. It was really good. It was a bit slow to get going but I'd recommend it!
After that I spent the evening going up and down to the laundry in the basement putting in and out washing. Of course I had a tissue somewhere didnt I and my white wash is now all covered in white tissue!! The joys!
Tadgh is arriving tomorrow, earlier than expected! Shane is staying around for another week I think so at least they'll see each other! So the weekend should be a bit if Craic!
