Day 65: 6/11/12
I didn't get a call this morning so when it got to a reasonable hour I rang the agency I had been I contact with last year to see if I could do an interview for childcare work today. That was no problem so I got my stuff ready and headed to that.
I had to bring lots of documents- copies of my qualifications, cv, passport, driving licence, bank details... Everything about me!! They looked at that information first and then I had to fill out four different forms which took a while! After that the girl conducted the interview. There were a few interesting questions like what safety concerns I could identify in a childcare centre, what I would do if I had an accident, what toys I would expect to see, what impression I would like the kids to have of me...... Needless to say there was a lot of waffle on my part! There didn't seem to be a problem though- I had signed up before the interview anyway! There was another girl there for an interview also and we both had an induction together where they told us how the system works. The woman there knows I am on Tracer and has advised me to take a Tracer day if its available but that I should be able to get other work for any day Im off.
I walked into the Main Street then and looked in a few shops. I walked over to South Bank afterwards through the Botanical gardens. It was my first time there. It looked pretty but was just like a park really. I went to the cinema then and saw Paranormal activity. It wasn't as scary as I thought it would be. There was a woman behind me that sounded like she was crying- she was obviously scared. There was a man at the back of the cinema that laughed the whole way through it , so that made it less scary!
When I came out of the cinema I saw three missed calls from the childcare agency. I wasn't expecting them to ring that quickly! I rang back to apologise and explain that my phone had been on silent but that I was still available! They had no work at that stage but maybe tomorrow!
I went home then and put in a wash and ironed clothes- very exciting altogether! I was talking to Shell for a little while also, catching up on the goss. Sat back then to watch X factor and then bed!
