Day 100: 11/12/12
I got no call this morning so I got onto Tadgh. He has no phone so you just have to send him a message on Facebook and hope he gets it!! We arranged to meet in town at 11.30 and it worked out fine!
On a side note... I was walking through Southbank to get down to where I was supposed to meet him. There are toilets there and I went in to go to the toilet. Some of the cubicle doors were closed so I walked down to the first empty door and thankfully from the corner of my eye I spot a person sitting on the toilet, trousers round their ankles, doing their business!! I just kept going to the next empty cubicle but wtf!! If I had to guess I'd say it was an Asian person as they had very black hair. I don't know is that what they do over there!!!
Anyway, Tadgh and I got a bus out to the koala sanctuary. It's the same one I went to already but the other zoo is too far away unless you go at like 8 in the morning. So we went in and saw koalas, kangaroos, Tasmanian devil, platypus, wombats, sheep shearing, lorikeets, snakes, lizards..... And other stuff! When we were only about a half hour there it started lashing rain and looked like we might be in for a very soggy day! But we went into the gift shop for a coffee and it dried up thankfully!! We had good Craic going round watching the animals. Some of the koalas were very busy, eating and climbing, others were just sleeping. We walked in around the kangaroos too. There were lots of Asians there too trying to get photos of them and talking to them- "hello kangaroo"- in an Asian accent! Tadgh was saying how they obviously knew the kangaroo spoke English!! There was also an Asian woman running after a pigeon, trying to get a photo of it! It was hilarious! She had a camera round her neck and a bag on her back and she was trying to run but with all the gear she was just waddling. The pigeon seemed to have forgotten it had wings and was just waddling aswell!
We got the bus back into town then but there had been an accident on the road or something so traffic was cat and it took ages! We got another bus out near Shane's then and we met him at the shopping centre for food and ended up having a few drinks too. We say chatting for a few hours.
Shane brought me home then afterwards and I spent a while on the Internet. Oh I got paid today too but got about $500 less than I was expecting so obviously got taxed a serious amount. Wasn't too happy bout that but not much I can do about it! I have to work at something tomorrow anyway but I've a feeling if will be childcare!
