I was still ill when it was time to go to school, I was only a few minutes late but I had a message saying 'the headmarster is angry'.So I rushed to Genius Baby to give my morning classes, with Laurie on sticker duty again.

We went to meet Echo at the post office so I could send some more things home.Then we went for lunch with her at my favourite noodle place.She was still thinking of a Chinese name for Laurie but we arranged to meet again in the evening for dinner with her boyfriend and some friends so we would discuss names again later.

I went to Flower Garden with Laurie and gave one lesson while he handed out stickers again.After the lesson I was told there would be a party.I had to go to a classroom and stand in the centre of a circle of children.They sang a goodbye song in English and then gave me some hand-made gifts.The headmaster arrived and thanked me for my work and gave me some Chinese calligraphy drawn by her husband.Miss Shi also showed up and gave me my certificate.We were then asked to go back to Genius Baby for another party.When we arrived, Miss Wang explained that it was a children's birthday party but we were the special guests.There was a lot of Chinese cake and some party games.They asked me to join in a game of musical chairs.All the other participants were parents holding their children.As I was walking round Miss Wang put a small girl in my arms and said "a child for you" and so I had to play the game holding this bewildered looking girl.I was in the last three and right at the end one of the mums completely misjudged the chair and sat straight down on the floor.

After the party had finished, we went to meet Echo in town.She got her boyfriend to drive us around the lake so Laurie could see it lit up in the dark.We took a few photos but it was extremely cold so we didn't stay long.Then we went to a dumpling restaurant with Echo and friends.The menu had no vegetable dumplings, but the other food they ordered for me was nice so I didn't mind.Then we went to KTV for a while.Echo gave Laurie the name Xiao Ye, which seemed to mean 'only one' or 'one of a kind'.We gave her boyfriend the name Isaac and told her she could nickname him Zac.They seemed to like this name.
