The bathroom light bulb blew.I took the tallest piece of furniture I have in the apartment to the bathroom and stood on it but the ceilings are too high and I could not reach the bulb.I text Miss Wang but she said she was home sick so she couldn't get anyone at the school to help me.

The main road directly outside my yard is a very busy road with three lanes of traffic going in each direction.In the morning, all six lanes were open as they have been since I got to Liaocheng.In the afternoon a barrier was being put up to separate the road into the two directions.There were gaps in the barrier for cars and people to cross- for example there is a gap directly opposite my yard gate to allow people to drive from the opposite side of the road towards the gate. It is virtually impossible to cross all six lanes in one go so I usually cross this road from one side to the middle, and then from the middle to the other side.It is kind of scary being stood in the middle of six lanes of traffic, especially when the vehicles overtake each other on both sides.In theory I thought the barrier could make crossing the road easier and even a bit safer when standing in the middle.By the evening, the barrier construction was completed, but I discovered it had actually made the road more dangerous.Cars were driving on the wrong side of the barrier and then several of them tried to pass through the gap where I was stood, all at the same time.Absolute chaos.
