I woke up in the early hours of the morning with either a stomach bug or food poisoning.I was ill on and off for the next few hours and I just knew there was no way I could make it through work.I messaged Teacher Zhang at Happy Tree and Sherry at Wanhuatong and they both said they would tell the children.Later on I messaged Shush to say I wouldn't be able to come to the party at Lilly Coffee in the evening and Mohamed to tell him not to pre-prepare veggie food for me.They both asked me if I needed any medicine but I don't really like the idea of taking Chinese medicine.

Hong Yan messaged me to see if I wanted to go over for lunch but I told her I was ill and needed to stay in bed.I tried to sleep most of the day but I kept being disturbed by messages and phone calls from people checking if I was ok.At one point there was a bang on the door, and it was Hong Yan.I was in my pyjamas and my skin was very pale and she made a sympathetic noise when she saw me.She came inside the apartment and then got really close to me.She started hitting my tummy hard with the flat of her hand, from right to left.It sounded horribly hollow, but then maybe it always sounds like that, it's not something I've tried before!As she was doing this to me, my stomach launched into a long growl and she took a step back.Then she said 'drink hot water' and left.
