I had to work even though it was a Sunday, to make up the hours from the public holiday last week.When I got home after lunch I had a piece of paper through the door which means I have post.On the way to Flower Garden I stopped by the Post Office to collect it.When I received it, I found it was a postcard from my Grandparents.I was so eager to read some English handwriting, I read it as I was walking to the school and nearly tripped down a pothole!

After school I went to see Ruth and we got dinner by her apartment.I showed them my 'veggie' card and they seemed to understand and showed me something on the menu so I just said I would like one of those.Ruth's food came out and smelled really lovely, and then I was given a very small bowl of rice.For a while I was still expecting something else to come out too, as the food often comes out at different times in China.The waitress came over and we tried to communicate with her that I was still waiting for some vegetables.This caused absolute chaos and they didn't really understand and so I just ate the cold rice and we paid and left.I think I may need to learn the Chinese for "Vegetarians can eat more than just rice"

They are digging up the road which runs across my yard and have put these metal sheets up as barriers.I usually walk around the long way but I couldn't be bothered so I scaled these metal barriers and it made the most awful noise but nobody came to tell me off.I went onto Skype to talk to my Mum, Grandparents, Brother and Sister.It was nice to see them all but they started to eat cake in front of the camera to tease me, which was really mean.I said goodbye and went to bed.
