I had to teach for two hours at Wanhuatong instead of the usual one hour, to make up for the class I missed when I was sick.It was nice having a longer lesson; I was able to include more fun activities. The first lesson was Zoo animals, and I designed my own cards to use in a game of memory/pairs with the vocabulary.I cannot draw (my sister got that talent) so I drew over the lines in the text book with a pencil, then did the old scribble trick on the back of the page to transfer the outline a piece of paper which I could then cut out.The vocabulary in the second lesson included lollipop and candy.I hid actual lollies and candy around the classroom, and they went on a treasure hunt. When they found something they had to shout out what it was called before they could keep it.It worked really well except one kid went into my bag and took a lollipop from the packet.I had to ask Sherry to explain this was not the idea of the game!Although I was quite impressed with the initiative and I think I had as much fun as the kids today. On my way home a motorbike drove past with a horn that sounded a bit like Donald Duck. Then it suddenly stopped and the man stated patting the passenger seat for me to get on.I said no.I don't intend to get on any more motorbikes after my bike ride with Miss Wang and sister, especially not one which sounds like a grumpy duck!
