Between my classes I met Echo outside her school and we went to the Construction Bank so she could help me open an account there.Again it took about an hour by the time she had completed the forms and answered everybody's questions about why I am in China.But I now successfully, but pointlessly, have two Chinese bank accounts.

As I was leaving Flower Garden I saw the flying red man again.No matter what, I was determined to get a photo and prove it.I grabbed my camera out of my bag and ran a little and zoomed as much as I could but it flies quite quickly and the photo was pretty crap, but you can just about make it out.I carried on walking to the bus stop and the theme tune from "Round the Twist" just popped into my head.It's from a TV programme I used to watch when I was young, about some Aussie kids who lived in a lighthouse and weird things would happen to them.

"Have you ever, ever felt like this? Have strange things happened, Are you going round the twist?

Rain, rain, go away, Come again another day.

I can hear myself say, This is not my day. I'm saying what the hey, You won't believe me anyway!"

On the way to Lilly Coffee with Ruth, we got the Pedi-cab driver to take us to the liquor store where the guys had told us we could get vodka.It took ages because the driver got a bit lost and when we got there it was closed!We started to walk to try to find Lilly Coffee but were very disorientated.I phoned Mohamed and he said we were quite far away but gave me directions to get to the main road so we could find a taxi.We walked for a while and found the main road and then kept walking.Every store we walked past selling booze we asked if they had fútèjiā, but nobody had any.Then we came across a shop we weren't even sure if it was open but several people were stood outside.We approached them and Ruth asked, and to our surprise they said yes!They made a few phone calls and then dug out some "Russian-Style Vodka" and I haggled with them for a bit and then we paid.We were so excited we jumped straight in a taxi to Lilly Coffee.

When we got there, Mohamed introduced us to a new teacher called William, he's in his forties and it turns out he knows Dean and Shush from the same school.We told them about our mission to find some vodka and had just poured out one drink each, when William kicked the table and our bottle of vodka fell to the ground as I screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!" it smashed into tiny pieces and Mohamed came running up the stairs "Are you injured? Are you hurt?" and I sat there with my head in my hands trying not to cry, and said "Only emotionally".They cleaned up the mess and then we had to drink Williams Tequila instead but it just wasn't as good.

Dean and Shush arrived later in the evening and we told them about our hunt for vodka and the broken bottle incident.I also told them about the flying red man but Ruth interrupted and told them about my haircut dream so they didn't believe me either.I showed them all the photo on my camera and they begrudgingly had to believe me! For reasons I can't remember, the conversation got a little heated and I ended up getting a bit angry with William about something he had said (it was unrelated to the vodka incident- honestly!) and Shush told me it wasn't worth it and to, well, shush, even though I was right!But William left anyway… and then they told us he hasn't made a particularly good first impression on any of the guys since he arrived in Liaocheng… but it wouldn't be fair to go into details here! We stayed out so late, it was after 5am when the rest of us finally left.

The guys hailed a taxi for us and helped us to explain we needed it to go to Ruth's apartment first and then to mine, so I could help her in.The taxi got to her place and I waited at the bottom of the stairs until I could hear her front door, but it was silent, so I had to run up 5 flights of stairs to see what she was doing.I found Ruth in the doorway with her bag of cola bottles leaking on the floor (she had dropped it and broken them) and so I grabbed the bag, ran across the flat to her sink and threw the bag in there, then shut the door of her apartment and ran back down to the taxi and went home.There was a massive bug in my bathroom, it had so many legs and was just so gross.I was too drunk and sleepy to deal with it so I covered it with a large yogurt pot lid and went to bed.
