We had a Curry night at Shush and Dean's.We didn't go there until quite late as everyone was busy with Christmas rehearsals.We began with poppadoms that you have to cook yourself so they were hot and fresh.Then Shush cooked a meat curry and a veggie curry.He'd been sent a recipe book from home and was going to attempt a chickpea curry for me, but when he couldn't find any chickpeas he used mushrooms instead.I was a little dubious about this substitution but it really worked and the curry was amazing!

We didn't finish eating until after 11pm and we were drinking wine and chatting so much that suddenly it was 3am.Ruth decided to leave but I said I'd stay for another hour.Shush and Lawrence went to bed and I stayed up talking to Dean.Lawrence came in the room and I asked him if we were keeping him awake.He told us it was past 6am and it was the usual time he wakes up!I could hardly believe the time had passed so quickly, I ran around the flat grabbing my shoes and coat and everything to go home to sleep, my alarm was due to go off in an hour!
