Liu Le Xuan turned up at my door at about 10am.I was no longer sick but I was feeling tired and weak so I was still in my pyjamas.She asked me to come with her and then Hong Yan called me and said the same.I didn't really feel like it, but I thought it was probably better than just moping.So I quickly got dressed and followed Liu Le Xuan back to her apartment.Then they told me they were going to shopping- well the translation tool on Hong Yan's phone actually said 'shop around'.We went into town to find some new boots for Liu Le Xuan, they told me it was going to snow tomorrow.While we were browsing the shoe shop, Hong Yan picked up a tiny pair of shoes in the women's section to show me.They were women's shoes with a high heel, but they were about the size of a four-year-olds foot.She explained to me it was designed for old women who had been victims of foot-binding.

After Liu Le Xuan had chosen some boots we went back to their apartment.Hong Yan insisted I eat a little, even though I wasn't really feeling like eating yet.The Grandmother had specially prepared a vegetarian hotpot with lots of different vegetables and tofu to help me feel better.I started eating a bit and suddenly realised how hungry I actually was and I ate two bowls full.They tried giving me more but I told them I was too full.
