I was told that the English programme I had been rehearsing with the children had been cancelled, so I no longer had a part in the New Year show at Genius Baby.I was a little disappointed because the kids had worked hard to learn the song and dance, but also a little relieved that I wouldn't have to get up early on New Year's Day anymore!

I met Ruth at the English corner and the students told us it would be the final English Corner because their exams were on during the next few weeks and then they would be leaving Liaocheng to go back to their hometowns for the Spring Festival.It was quite sad knowing I wouldn't be seeing them again.Teacher Alan asked my opinion on the students and I told them that I thought their English was very good but they lack in confidence to speak out loud and they should try not to be afraid to practice their speaking.The girl called Lavender gave me a good luck charm for 'safety' which was really sweet of her.Mr Shao and Teacher Alan took Ruth and I for dinner at Muslim noodles as a thank you for our help.
