Miss Wang told me the school was closed so I didn't have to go to work.In the evening I went to get some dinner with Shush at a canteen local to his apartment.I ended up with a plate of broccoli and a bowl of plain rice.Not the greatest stomach-lining dinner for New Year's Eve!While Shush and Dean were at work I used their shower and then I prepared some 'Chinese Sangria' which consisted of cheap red wine, fruit juice, Chinese rice wine and sprite.When they got back from work with Jack and Lilly we drank the sangria during several drinking games.

We headed to the disco with the bouncy dance floor at about 11:55 and just made it inside in time to hear the midnight countdown.Ruth, Mohamed and Alice were also there and our group of foreigners was surrounded by security staff on the dance floor as apparently the club is known for fights among the locals and they were worried we might be targeted.During the evening, several performances were shown on the stage including some Chinese 'comedy' and a female singer in a very tiny dress.
