The most eventful thing which happened today was when I was preparing my dinner.I cut a green bell-pepper in half and wondered why the seeds were all brown and soft.I started scraping out the slimy seeds from one half, and then noticed something moving in the other half.I jumped out of my skin. Then I nudged it to see what it was. There was a caterpillar about 2cm long crawling around in there.I didn't want to kill it but I also didn't want it in my house, so I flicked it out the window. Then I washed the pepper and continued to prepare it for my stir fry. That was when I knew China has changed me.If I had still been in England I would have thrown the entire pepper in the bin and probably got a take away once any nausea had subsided. But I can't afford to be that wasteful here and some of the things I've seen (like chicken head soup) have put that silly wriggly caterpillar into perspective!
