During my classes the headmaster came to watch which made me worry after having already lost one job!She gave me the course books and CD's to take home which should be quite useful.Teacher Wang took me to the bank to open a bank account at the Agricultural (ABC) Bank and this took over an hour just to open the account because of all the queuing and questioning.Teacher Wang completed the forms on my behalf and had to redo all of the forms twice.She had written First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name as we would at home, but was then told my name has to be written Last Name, First Name, and Middle Name.

The customers in the bank were asking her questions about me.I still don't understand Mandarin well enough to have a conversation myself, but I could pick out words from theirs like 'teacher' and person from 'English person'.I just couldn't imagine the same scene if the two of us were in a bank at home, with people in the queue tapping me on the shoulder and asking me if my friend was from China and what job does she do.I text Echo to say I had opened a bank account and could she please forward my details to Miss Shi.She told me Miss Shi will only pay into a Construction Bank account so I have to go through all that again at a different bank!
