I had an early one last night so I'd be ready for my final prosthetic application tomorrow. Unfortunately, there was some woman in the building next door shouting and screaming about how much noise her other residents make during the day. I think she was pissed. Although it was irritating, it was pretty amusing to hear.
I made sure I was set up early so I had enough time for the application, and spent the next 5 hours applying it. I'm very pleased with the way it turned out. I got decent colouring, and also blended the edges out nicely. The only thing that made it look a bit unrealistic was the hair-punch job I did for the eyebrows. I definitely won't be messing it up again. I hope.
There were a few hours left til the end of school, so I continued my research for my special effects idea. When school was over, there was a casting call for season 3 of Face-Off, the make-up special effects reality show on SyFy. It was for CMS graduates. There were two hopefuls, one of them being Robert who currently works at the school. They had half an hour to attach and colour a prosthetic they'd made prior to the casting. Both of them did an excellent job and made me realise I really need t work on my speed if I were to work on a set. Maybe I'll have to start practising on myself too.
