I felt rough this morning…
I was considering doing a bit of sight-seeing today, but I'd been informed of a huge Oktberfest party going on, so was saving my energy all day for that. I'm not being lazy, I think I've done quite a lot already. Plus it's Colombus day on Monday so we have a 3 day weekend, with a couple of gigs to attend, and my parents are flying out here for a few days this week before exploring the rest of California, so I'll do some sightseeing with them no doubt.
I met up with Jen, Cesar and their friend Tony at hers, then missioned it to Alpine Village in Torrance. After eventually finding a cash machine, and bunging $20 to someone near the front of the queue, we got in and beer drinking ensued.* It was pretty cool. Different beers from the Paulaner brewery, and in huge cups! For anyone who's seen the film 'Beerfest', they had two teams attempting Das Boot. I'm sure at one point, they had a ton of girls on the stage dancing to the birdie song. I have no idea why. The whole event was basically everyone in a huge tent getting smashed, but everyone was happy and friendly. Good fun.
We stopped off at a Thai or Chinese restaurant (I can't remember which, but I had something tasty) on the way back, with both Tony and Jen falling asleep in the restaurant. I'm not sure when I got in, but I can lay in tomorrow. A lot of what I've written here is based upon photos I'd taken throughout the night, as a sort of blank-filler...
*I'd like to add that we met up with another two of Jen's friends, Mario and Ramon. I've just discovered Ramon's full name is Ramon Vega. Remember him at Spurs?
