I'd set my alarm for about 6, but I got snooze-button happy and ended up having to leg it for the train to get me up to Universal City, only just catching it as it was about to leave the station. I'd been told the derby games are usually pretty busy, and they weren't wrong. Although there's the huge rivalry, it was actually all in 'good spirit', and with a great result. It was a great game, and packed solid. Glad I've found somewhere to enjoy the games out here, and some great people to enjoy the wins with.
Got back around 12ish and needed another kip to be awake enough for all the stoner bands I'd be seeing later.
Aimee and Molly came to pick me up for the show at the Key Club tonight: Weedeater, Saviours, Bison B.C., and a couple of other local acts. We also picked up Eddie from 'It's Casual' (the band that played the Mastodon listening party the other night) and headed to the venue. There wasn't as big a crowd as I'd expected, and nowhere near as packed as Periphery a couple of weeks back, but it was still a great show.
Not much else happened today really, so that's your lot.
