I awoke in agony this morning, as I'd slept funny and my neck felt like it'd been twisted round 180 degrees and back. A bit like an owls…Hmmm
We've got Kevin tutoring us this week, and probably next week too. I won't go into lengthy detail, as most of you will probably find it confusing as to what I'm on about, so in short:
Created cutting edge. Covered open areas in clay. Built up layers of Ultracal 30 and burlap. Let it set. Removed positive from negative. Cleaned off clay sculpt and cutting edge. Stuck it in the oven over night. Mould complete.
This is still fairly detailed, but one thing to note is that I wasn't even near to being last today, which is possibly the first time I've managed to leave class first. It's a small personal victory, but means I'm working faster. Hopefully I can keep this up.
Spent the rest of the evening watching stuff and beginning to have a think for my final special effects piece. Tomorrow we'll be running foam latex. I've never used foam latex before, so I'm really looking forward to it.
