Didn't get much sleep last night as I was still thinking about the ordeal of last night, still unsure what I'm supposed to have said about Frank. I can't think of anything whatsoever.
The homework from last night was to make more stencils, this time based on animal prints. I'd managed to do a few but having not been able to concentrate properly, they weren't great, so I rushed out a few more during the demonstration. The girl in the chair is from Taiwan, and doesn't really speak English, but she's very sweet. She sort of reminds me of a cat that mews all the time. This became even more realistic with added cat makeup, whiskers and fake cat ears… It was very difficult not to laugh.
I still had my mind on other things today, but tried my best to get on with the makeup application as best I could. Today I was paired with Ami. I wasn't entirely happy with the outcome, but Nelly was ok with it after a few alterations. We had to create an animal makeup but using different colours. I chose to do a Snow Leopard but in yellow. So does this make it a "Yellow Snow" Leopard? I've heard that yellow snow is bad for you or something…?
Ami's makeup was much better than mine, and I think I look quite good as a cat. If it didn't take so long to apply, I'd consider doing it just to go out in, kinda like that mental guy who's gradually turning himself into a big cat with surgery.
Both Jodie and I decided after school we'd go searching for new places to live. I'd spoken to a few of the interns at the school who were very helpful, as well as Christine in admissions, who suggested a couple of places to look at. We started driving around for a while, and stopped at several locations, just to see if there was any space, and if they were furnished. All of these places are in much nicer areas than Academy House. We even had a look at the Gaylord Apartments up the road from the school. Despite being extremely impressed by EVERYTHING the Gaylord had to offer (bar, restaurant, pool, nice people, better amenities etc.), it's just too expensive for me, and they only work on a 6 month and up lease. I know you'll all be very upset to hear this. I even looked at staying in a Rodeway Inn for a few nights in case I couldn't find anything soon, but it wasn't worth the price they were asking per night.
Back at Academy, and after a 'fabulous' beer in the Gaylord bar (sounds a bit queer (strange) doesn't it), we both started looking up places on craigslist which is a great site for finding anything anyone is selling. We'd been told some nice areas of LA to search in, and emailed a few people with regards to moving in asap.
I don't think there's any homework for tomorrow as I'm well and truly run down, and just want to sleep. Hopefully, i'll get a few responses with regards to available places and can go view them tomorrow night. I should sleep better tonight though.
Unfortunately, there was suddenly a lot of cockroaches (large ones) running around the place, and going in and out of rooms. I barricaded myself in by stuffing a bed sheet under the crack in the door. Those annoying b******s won't get me.
