The day started by getting straight down to setting up and applying our bald caps from yesterday. I let Violet go first meaning I could have a nice long sit down. Unfortunately, this also meant I ran out of time at the end of the day when I'd want to do mine, just because we all took so long getting them finished. As a whole, everyone had a decent first go at applying a bald cap. The hardest part is trying to keep everyone's hair up whilst placing the cap over the head.
I had a lot of difficulty with mine as the guidelines already on the red head mould, made the latex cap come out so small. This meant I was left with hardly anything to work with. I'd also made the entire cap too thin in general so it ended up ripping a fair amount. I would have used the second one I made last night, but I still need to remove it from the 'red head' and this can take some time. I'll consider going in first thing to get it ready so I can have a go at applying one first thing when we start.
Today was tough. Not only to actually get the bald cap on to our partners and make it look realistic, but actually sitting in the chair and actually having to sit in the chair and endure the long application. Hopefully, it'll get better with practice over the next week, and I want to maybe practice by the time we get to the very last exam where we'll almost certainly need to be able to apply another one. The most irritating part of it is the removal of the cap. Not only is it proper stuck to your head, the solvent remover can be quite irritable.
Still, I think I actually don't look bad as a skinhead…? I may consider it as my next style. I'm probably due one soon…
The rest of the evening was spent tidying my box (it's now proper tidy), watching stuff, and reading my new stage make-up book to work out how I can improve on this bald cap application malarkey.

Mum It's quite spooky how much you resemble dad about the forehead and eyebrows in this photo.it's very clever, where on earth is all your hair?
