The injuries and wounds finals were here, and having thought about it and after gathering stock images, I had a good idea as to what I was going to do. It would've gone smoothly too, only having seen what everyone else had done in the morning, I decided to change it up a bit and go a bit more dramatic.
Melissa applied her make-up first. I'd been informed yesterday that it would be rather extravagant, and involve dog bones being attached to me. The look she created was inspired by the idea of a 'fallen angel', with ripped off wings, burnt hands, cut face, and bloodied eyes. The final make-up was brilliant, although I couldn't only see this from photos of me after blindly being led away from the photoshoot area. It was quite painful being sat half naked for over 2 hours in a pretty cold room. When Carlton commented on the excellent mottling purple colour on my hands that Melissa had done, I had to explain to him that it was actually my skin beginning to freeze. It was good for stock though.
There was a quick written test before lunch, which was pretty straightforward, before I attempted my injuries on Melissa. Originally, I was going to make it look as though she'd fallen off a push bike, as I had a great stock image that showed off some quality bruising, cuts and grazes. I felt that this might fall a bit short of expectations, so I popped to the pharmacy over the road to pick up some medical gauze during my lunch, with the intention of reshaping her face into a charred molten mess. Well, one side at least; I kept one side free for bruising cuts, and scabs etc. I was pleased with the outcome and after Carlton's critique, I received an 'A'. Another one. I might actually be pretty good at this sort of stuff.
We'd managed to get some discounted tickets to Knott's 'Scary' Farm, another theme park Halloween horror type event like at Universal, but this one had more mazes. It was a similar crowd of us to last time, with a couple of extras. Cesar had got hold of a 17 seater to take us all there too, which meant we could have a few beers on the way. For some bizarre reason, we chose to stop off at a liquor store in Compton. heard of it? Well, it's obvious from this post that I survived Compton. A proud moment in my life. We managed to do most of the mazes, a few of them were really good. Many more people jumping out etc. At one point, a clown made Jen cry, and then came back several times to apologise and see that she wasn't traumatised. I don't think it helped though. It was lucky we'd had a few beers before hand as the security to the bar straight-up refused serving Jodie and myself, due to the fact we didn't have our passports with us. Why would we carry around our passports (with our extremely important Visas in) around a theme park with rides that throw all sorts of directions? Idiocy. After arguing a lost cause, we left and sent everyone else in to bring us both water bottles filled with Newcy Brown. I felt 14 again.
Ended up getting back around 4 in the morning, which left me completely shattered, and passed out straight away.
